Today we have selected Patryk Hoffmann to take his interview. He is the CEO of Mylead.
Question: First of all, how are you and your team doing?
Thanks for asking. As you may or may not know, we have been working remotely for over a year now. The beginnings weren’t as bright as it is now. But we’re coping with it better and better as the month’s pass.
We used many tools to organize our job before the transition, so it wasn’t much of a deal, but of course, even the smallest changes need some time to adjust. A while ago, we met together to celebrate the 7th birthday of MyLead, and it has been even better since then. I have nothing to complain about.
Question: Tell us about you, your career, how you founded MyLead?
I always envisioned creating a virtual place where people could earn money in many different ways. I wanted everyone who decided they wanted to earn online to visit MyLead once and stay forever.
Have I achieved that?
Not yet, but I am on my way to doing that, and I strongly believe it’s possible. My project started with no affiliate team, no marketing team, zero office managers – just me. After a while, as many as three people were working here. Now there are over 40 of us. The company’s headquarters has been located in Poznań, Poland, from the very beginning, and nothing seems like it’s going to change.
Question: Why did you decide to become a business owner?
I’ve always liked doing things my way. MyLead is just one of the companies that I run, and it’s been like that for a few good years.
I am a board member of another technology startup from Poland – Gamehag. It’s a gaming portal where you receive points for playing games that can be then exchanged for prizes. I have always been interested in modern solutions.
Question: What made you choose to start a company in the Affiliate Marketing industry?
It all started with SMS programs, sort of CPA, I would say. It was something completely new on the Polish market. There were very few services like that, so it was quite a good idea to seize this opportunity and explore the niche.
The development came afterward, and we decided to run the more “typical” affiliate marketing business, as relying on SMS was limiting the potential growth. Then we expanded our activity to new markets. We introduced an English version of the site, then the Russian version, and it has rolled on since then. That’s why we are where we are.
Question: How the Coronavirus pandemic affects your business, and how are you coping?
As I said previously, we’ve been working from home for almost 1,5 years now. This is the main and probably the only change due to Coronavirus, but I have to point out that we did it far before it was regulated by the government.
We all felt a little distracted initially, but it is the new reality we have to deal with, I guess. From the very beginning, we provided everyone in our team with the necessary equipment. Our employees can take a day off whenever they want. Luckily, MyLead is an online business, so we have no problem completing the tasks, and our everyday work can be easily done.
This pandemic situation has done us quite well. MyLead as a company grew by 1222%, which was appreciated by Deloitte. We became one of the fastest-growing companies in the Central European region mentioned in Technology Fast 50 Central Europe in 2020 and 2021.
Question: Did you have to make difficult choices, and what are the lessons learned?
The transition from an SMS-based company to affiliate marketing mentioned before was a huge lesson. It wasn’t a necessity for us to change. Some of the platforms decided to stay the way they were, and it didn’t mean they became dead right after. MyLead moved on, and thanks to that, we’re currently one of the strongest brands on the affiliate marketing market in the world.
Question: Who are your competitors? And how do you plan to stay in the game
MyLead is in a constant state of development. In 2020, our team grew by about 200%. We’re continuously introducing new language versions of the platform, and the number of affiliate offers is still growing. We’re working on unique and original solutions such as HideLink, a tool allowing you to promote affiliate links on social media by avoiding getting banned. It all means we stand out from the competition.
What is more? We strongly believe in the open door policy. Joining MyLead is incredibly easy. You don’t need any type of verification; there’s no need for you to wait for the account activation. It’s quite unheard of in this industry. We also undertake highly non-standard activities; for example, we run a TikTok profile. Our main goal is to teach every potential affiliate how to earn online. This is why we prepare many ebooks and learning materials for beginners and professionals.
Question: What is the future of MyLead? Where do you see MyLead in the next 5 to 10 Years?
I see it as an even bigger and stronger brand with many languages available on the site. I hope that in a few years, there will be a two-digit number for sure. At the moment we can talk about European languages, but there will come a time for Asian languages, too. Right now, I can reveal that we’re close to starting implementing Portugal, Italian and Turkish. In our offer, you can find tools such as Content Lockers which we’d like to develop and focus more on the site and app monetization. Thinking bigger, I wish that in a 5 to 10 years period of time, every person who would have thought of earning online would think of MyLead.
Question: What is your biggest success?
I am responsible for building a great team, counting more than 40 people who work for the MyLead success every day.
Question: How much time do you spend working on your business each day?
I work a lot, but right now, the company consists of 3 departments – affiliate, marketing, and IT. Each of them has its leader, and these are the people I contact the most. They have the necessary knowledge about their teamwork, they coordinate other’s projects, and they’re just the right people in the right positions, which makes our work more organized and efficient.
Question: What piece of advice would you give to beginners who want to start Affiliate Marketing?
Join MyLead and make use of our mentors, support, and guides. I’ve been observing publishers for over seven years. Those who showed persistence and were not afraid to reach for help, ask questions, look for solutions achieved above-average results. And that’s what I wish for every new member of our community. Of course, you have to remember about appropriate niche selection, run AB tests, and stay consistent. Motivation is the key to success.
Question: How do you advertise your business?
There are many things we do to make MyLead more recognizable. We’re focusing on social media platforms, especially Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. We regularly post on TikTok and YouTube, trying to keep up with the latest trends. We are the only affiliate network on TikTok at the moment. That’s a part of our mission of teaching young people about the possibilities of earning online. You can also find information about MyLead on various industry portals in almost every country. And we’re planning on new activities in different markets that are specially designed for their needs.
Question: Finally, what would you like to say to uCompares.com readers? Your final thoughts?
I’d like to invite all of your readers to our platform. We’re providing new affiliate offers in various categories every day, and we’re constantly working on new solutions and tools that could be used by our affiliates. I believe these activities make us a good place for everyone and that everybody will find something they could use to earn online. Thank you for having me. It was a pleasure to talk to you.
